Hydra Aqua Dechlorinator is an essential additive to neutralise chlorine and chloramines when using tap water to fill aquariums etc containing aquatic life.
All water authorities use chlorine and chloramines to disinfectant water supplies.
Chlorine and chloramines are highly toxic to fish at less than 0.05 mg/L.Chlorine and chloramines cause gill damage which results in gill lesions. These lesions will thicken the gill filaments leaving the fish unable to utilise oxygen and release carbon dioxide resulting in fish death.
Use when initially filling aquarium with tap water.
When topping up evaporation losses and when carrying out a partial water change.
Hydra Aqua Dechlorinator is completely harmless to all aquarium life, filters and other animal wild life.
